Anyone have a deposit down on the 135?

I'm curious about this myself... I'm sure dealers would accept one at this point?

My dealer is not taking deposits just yet, but says he will in the next few weeks.

Yup. Brian Jessel BMW in Vancouver, BC started taking deposits and a waiting list last week.

Anyone have a deposit down on the 135?
I negotiated a $500 waitlist deposit with my NH dealer that put me at #4 on their list. I was not inclined to do this at the $1000 they originally wanted. I am wondering if recent financial turbulence might affect sales of the 1 series. Thoughts?

Na, I think its in a price range that wouldn't get affected. What kinda time frame are they telling you?

The dealer appeared to know about as much as we do. He did mention there was going to be dealer get-together somewhere near Philadelphia in September where they would get to see the 1.

I was just talking to my sales man today about getting on the waiting list and he told me went to a thing in NewJersey this past week where they got to see and sit in a 135 but they didn't get to drive it. very similar to the 3 from behind the wheel but definitely a small back seat. he said the car he saw was being released to the press so we should be getting some magazine tests in the next few months. oh ya no pricing yet but I'm on the list :)

I was thinking about trading my srt4 in on the 135....but haven't decided yet...by the time i do, i might be able to afford the m5...which is what i really want.
