Hi all!

I'm trading in my 2004 Porsche Carrera 2 Cab.
The car is pristine, 20k miles- fully loaded black on black.
Dealers that have such cars are asking in the high '40s, low '$50's

i understand that I'm going to get a bunch less than retail. The book on the car is about 32.
I had a dealer offer me $35 on a trade in.

In my state, you only pay sales tax on the difference, if you trade in a car, so I'll save about $3k right there by trading in.

I'll be buying a 135 convertible.
If I can't get a good deal on an 09, I'll simply order a '10

I've gotten a price of about $500 over invoice on the '09.
However I understand I can purchase a '10 for about $100 more.
Will dealers sell the '09's fr a lot less?

What's the best way to handle such a trade in?

All answers appreciated.

Once the 2010 model comes out, the 2009s will be much cheaper for sure. The problem is there are not that many so I am not sure if you will find one "left over".
